🐬 Thursday, October 1 — Whale Watching Trip Report

We’re finally back on the water! With the storm behind us and the bridge reopened, the Jersey Girl headed out for a beautiful afternoon on the ocean.

Within just 30 seconds of leaving Shark River Inlet, we spotted dolphins! We encountered dolphins off Avon, Asbury Park, Long Branch, and up near Sandy Hook. They certainly gave us a warm welcome back!

With around 40 guests aboard our spacious boat, everyone had plenty of room to move around, find their favorite viewing spot, and enjoy the gorgeous fall weather and calm seas.

Every trip is different. Although whales had been reported near Sandy Hook throughout the week—including three on Wednesday—we didn’t find any on Thursday’s trip. Everyone aboard received complimentary return tickets, with the opportunity to come back by next spring for another chance to see a whale. That’s our whale watch guarantee, so you can book with confidence.

🍂 Our season is far from over! We plan to run through mid-December, weather permitting, and there are plenty more ocean adventures ahead.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first trip back. We hope to see you soon aboard the Jersey Girl!
