Jersey Shore Marine Explorer Camp: A Real Ocean Adventure for Kids
When we created the Jersey Shore Marine Explorer Camp,
we wanted it to be completely different from a traditional waterfront camp.
More Than Sitting Near the Water
We did not want children spending the week sitting on park benches,
looking into buckets, or only scooping small nets along the shoreline.
Those activities can be educational, but we wanted to offer children
an experience they would remember for the rest of their lives.
We wanted to take them out on the ocean.
Our goal is to give young explorers the opportunity to experience
whales, dolphins, sea turtles, seabirds, boats, navigation, tides,
weather, and marine science firsthand.
Most importantly, we want children to develop the same love and respect
for the ocean that our crew shares every day.
A Fantastic First Day Aboard the Jersey Girl
Learn From Real Marine Science Professionals
Unlike many summer camps, our counselors aren’t simply seasonal staff.
Our team consists of college graduates and graduate students studying marine biology, environmental science, education, and related fields. Several are currently pursuing master’s degrees, while others work directly with marine wildlife and ocean education.
Their passion for marine science is contagious. Throughout the week, campers don’t just hear facts—they learn from people actively studying and working in the marine environment every day. Children are encouraged to ask questions, make discoveries, and develop a lifelong appreciation for the ocean.
Whether discussing whales, dolphins, seabirds, sea turtles, tides, weather, or marine conservation, our counselors transform every boat ride into a real-world classroom.
Our first day of Marine Explorer Camp was fantastic. The group was small,
which allowed every camper to receive plenty of individual attention
and participate in each activity.
The children explored the Jersey Girl, sat in the
captain’s chair, learned how a professional whale-watching boat operates,
met members of our crew, and headed out for their first brief ocean adventure.
This was only the beginning. Each day, we will build upon what the campers
have learned and give them new opportunities to explore the marine environment.

Marine Explorer Camp Ages, Dates, and Pricing
The Jersey Shore Marine Explorer Camp is designed primarily for children
between the ages of 6 and 13.
Camp runs Monday through Friday, and we are planning to offer
two additional camp weeks in August.
The regular price is $425 per child for the week.
We may offer a special one-day promotional price of
$325 per child, which would save families $100.
Families registering two children may also contact us to ask about
available sibling pricing.
Give Your Child a Summer Experience They Will Remember
Marine Explorer Camp is an opportunity to get children away from screens,
out of the house, and into the real world.
Instead of simply telling children about the ocean, we give them the
opportunity to experience it.
This summer, let your child explore the Jersey Shore, learn about marine
wildlife, meet experienced professionals, and begin developing a lifelong
appreciation for the ocean.
