Our July 22 2024 trip started with an overcast sky, and we anticipated showers later in the evening. Undeterred, we set off northward, hoping for an incredible adventure.

As we cruised past Asbury Park, we spotted our first whale. The excitement on board was palpable as everyone gathered to watch this magnificent creature. Not long after, we encountered a second whale. Witnessing a couple of breathtaking lunge feeds and observing their deep dives with flukes raised high was a truly mesmerizing experience.

Continuing further north, we searched for more marine life but didn’t spot any dolphins or additional whales. Despite the gray day turning into a light drizzle, our spirits remained high. On our way back to Belmar, we were delighted to see some seals close to the beach near Ocean Grove, a perfect end to our trip.
