Dolphins on Wednesday gorgous day on the ocean.
Monday whale watching trip photos dolphins and whales
Monday September 27, 2021
We had a wonderful day on the ocean today! Yesterday we saw three whales just north of Long Branch so we headed that way again today. It was a picture perfect day, we couldn’t have asked for better weather. We passed Long Branch without seeing any whales so we continued north toward Sandy Hook. We were only about a mile and a half off shore so we had great views of all the ocean towns and beaches. Just as we were approaching our turn around point a whale surfaced right in front of the boat. Our persistence in searching paid off! The whale was heading southwest at a pretty fast pace but we were able to keep up with him at a safe distance. The whale was following the bait fish and ended up swimming very close to the shore where he met up with some dolphins. Now the trip got even more exciting!! The dolphins were swimming all around the whale and jumping way up out of the water. It looked like a SeaWorld show but this show was so much better!! There is nothing like observing whales and dolphins in their natural habitat engaging in their natural behaviors. It was so beautiful to see these two different species interacting together. The entire boat was in awe watching the whale and dolphins swimming around together. At one point it looked like the dolphins were almost jumping on the whale’s back. It was quite a spectacular display! As we are entering into peak migration season, our trips are getting more and more exciting. We have many great trips planned for October so be sure to book your marine mammal adventure with us. The weather is still really nice, just a little cooler on the ocean so bring a jacket or get your Jersey Shore Whale Watch sweatshirt on the boat. Check our website for all our upcoming trips. You don’t want to let the season pass you by!

Double Header Sunday actually a triple!
We ran 3 whale watching trips Sunday two from Belmar and one from Point Pleasant.
‘Here is the review from the 2nd Belmar sunset whale watching trip, photos by passenger Linda
Second trip was a whale watching sunset cruise. Oh what an evening. We knew there was an almost full moon, the Harvest moon. Next, there were clear skies for seeing a beautiful sunset. Best, we found the whale off of the Sea Girt area. Whale #153 was the whale who would entertain us tonight. He was first spotted in NJ in 2019 and was seen last week here..
When the whale exhaled, the noise was so loud I jumped! He was pretty close to the boat! The water running off the the whale at sunset was orange colored. Saw the whale in the moonlight.
The crew was fantastic as they kept trying to get us that perfect shot between the setting sun and full moon. Fantastic trip and I hope they do this again!
Waiting for the weather to clear
Lol warning I used voice to text on this post!
As we all can see it’s a beautiful day but on the ocean there’s still waves from the storm
it’s way up to see we have to see if the ocean calms down, the fishing boats went out this morning will get a report from them about 9 o’clock 930 that will make a decision on today’s afternoon whale watching trip which doesn’t look very promising right now at 7:30 AM
so if you want one of the trips today don’t travel great distances until we’ve spoken to you and if you want to just change to another date it’s definitely wouldn’t be a beginners day if we go today would be like an intermediate day. My gut tells me we probably won’t go I would at all today
We will give it time, to see if we can get the trip in and enjoyable The wheels of been here all week so we’re hoping there are some wheels and close but if there’s not will cancel
you can email us from your confirmation if you want to change the date that’s easiest way to contact us on a day like this one the phones will be busy
