This Is Not Our Regular Whale Watch
Our regular three-hour whale watching trips explore the productive coastal waters off New Jersey and the New York Bight. This expedition is completely different.
We are dedicating the Jersey Girl for the entire day and traveling far offshore into deeper Atlantic waters that simply cannot be reached during a normal coastal whale watching trip.
We are giving ourselves more than 12 hours to travel, search, explore and follow the wildlife wherever the day takes us.

The Jersey Girl’s cruising speed allows us to reach productive offshore waters faster, giving us more time during the day to search for whales, dolphins, seabirds, sharks, tuna and other marine wildlife.

Boarding will take place in the order reservations were purchased. Passengers who book first receive the lowest available price and will also be among the first invited aboard to choose where they would like to settle in for the day.

Your sweatshirt size must be selected in advance when you reserve your ticket. These expedition sweatshirts will not be available for purchase aboard the boat on the day of the trip.
It’s New Jersey. Of Course There’s Breakfast.
We’re leaving Belmar at 4:00 in the morning, so we’re not sending everyone offshore hungry.
Your ticket includes a Jersey Shore classic — a pork roll, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich — along with bagels.
Passengers should bring their own lunch, drinks and snacks for the remainder of the day.
What Might We See?
Offshore wildlife is never guaranteed. That’s part of what makes an expedition like this exciting.
Fin whales, humpback whales, minke whales and other cetaceans are possible.
Offshore dolphin encounters can include large, active groups.
Pelagic shark species are possible in deeper offshore waters.
Sea turtles are another exciting possibility during a long-range expedition.
Offshore feeding activity can bring tuna, whales, dolphins and seabirds together.
Shearwaters, storm petrels and other offshore species may be encountered far from shore.
Why We Keep Going Offshore
On previous Jersey Girl offshore expeditions, passengers have encountered fin whales, minke whales, common dolphins, bluefin tuna, sea turtles, hammerhead sharks and a variety of offshore seabirds. You never know exactly what you’re going to find — and that’s exactly the point.
A Full Day Aboard the Jersey Girl
The Jersey Girl is a large passenger vessel with indoor seating, outdoor viewing areas, restrooms and plenty of room to move around during a long day at sea.
On an expedition lasting approximately 12 to 13 hours, having room to move between viewing areas and spend time indoors can make a big difference.

Offshore Weather & Cancellation Policy
Offshore weather decisions are different from our regular coastal whale watching trips. We must consider wind, waves and sea conditions across a very large area of ocean.
The captain makes the final safety decision. If offshore conditions are not safe enough to operate, we expect to notify passengers at least 24 hours before departure whenever possible.
$250, $265 & $280 Tickets
If the captain cancels because of unsafe weather or sea conditions, you will receive 100% of the amount paid as future Jersey Shore Whale Watch credit.
If you prefer money returned to your original credit card instead of future credit, the refund will be 75% of the ticket amount paid.
$300 Flex Ticket
If the captain cancels because of unsafe weather or sea conditions, Flex Ticket passengers may choose either full future credit or a 100% refund to the original payment method.
