This is not an ordinary three-hour whale-watching trip. This is a true offshore expedition into the deeper waters off New Jersey, where the ocean can turn a brilliant Caribbean blue and the wildlife can be extraordinary.
On this approximately eight-hour adventure, the all-new, faster Jersey Girl will travel far offshore to the productive feeding grounds where whales, dolphins, pelagic birds and other marine life gather.
Recent Offshore Sightings Have Been Incredible
Over the past several weeks, offshore observers have reported:
- Fin whales
- Humpback whales
- Minke whales
- Large pods of dolphins
- Shearwaters
- Skuas and other uncommon seabirds
- Wilson’s Storm-Petrels
- Rare tropical bird species seldom seen near New Jersey
Birders, photographers and serious wildlife lovers wait all year for opportunities like this. Once we reach the deep blue water, every sighting is a surprise. You never know what may appear next.
Limited to 40 passengers
Student pricing is available only to students currently enrolled in an active four-year college or university. A valid current student ID must be presented at check-in.
After three days, all remaining tickets increase to $225 per person.
Trip Details
- Departure: 6:30 AM
- Trip length: Approximately eight hours, depending on wildlife sightings and sea conditions
- Vessel: Jersey Girl, newly repowered with high-speed engines
- Recommended: Camera, binoculars, sun protection, layered clothing, food and drinks
- Best for: Birders, photographers, whale watchers and adventurous ocean lovers
We Will Only Go When Conditions Are Right
Offshore trips require suitable weather and sea conditions. If the ocean is too rough, we will cancel and choose another date. We are not taking passengers offshore simply to say we went. We want this to be a safe, comfortable and unforgettable experience.
