We operate Jersey Shore Whale Watch, offering 3-hour whale watching tours departing from Belmar Marina (Belmar, New Jersey). Guests board our large, Coast Guard–inspected passenger vessel, Jersey Girl, a red-and-white boat with capacity for up to 150 passengers. Our tours are guided and narrated by our experienced crew and focus on observing wildlife in its natural habitat along the New Jersey coastline and offshore waters.
This is a boat-based wildlife viewing experience (not a “multi-stop attraction tour”). The experience is the cruise itself: we depart Belmar Marina, transit out through the inlet, and then search for whales and other marine life. Sightings vary daily because this is nature, but we commonly observe humpback whales, dolphins, and a variety of seabirds. Our crew provides live commentary about the animals, their behaviors, and local marine ecology.
There are no land-based stops, admissions, or separate attraction tickets included or required. Travelers do not enter a venue like a museum or landmark—our “attraction” is the ocean wildlife experience. Guests remain on the vessel for the full duration and return to Belmar Marina at the end of the trip.
We recommend travelers arrive early for parking and boarding. Check-in and boarding take place at the dock at Belmar Marina. The boat has indoor and outdoor seating, restrooms, and a snack bar/concessions available for purchase. This is a family-friendly experience suitable for visitors of all ages, and it is ideal for tourists looking for an authentic wildlife encounter on the Jersey Shore.
