We’ve got an exciting announcement—our amazing naturalist, Danielle Browne, is starting her 8th season aboard the Jersey Girl, and she’s officially now… Dr. Browne! 🎓🐳
Danielle just completed her PhD at Rutgers, and we couldn’t be prouder. All those years of dedication and hard work have paid off, and it’s been incredible to witness her journey. Her presentation yesterday was nothing short of inspiring!
So yes, not only do we have the best naturalist on the East Coast, but now she’s got the credentials to match. 💪
Catch Dr. Browne on deck all season long—guiding, educating, and maybe even signing a few autographs 😄.

We have a whale-sized reason to celebrate in our Jersey Shore Whale Watch family! 🥳 Our beloved naturalist Danielle Browne – the friendly face you’ve all come to know aboard the Jersey Girl – is kicking off her 8th year with us. Not only that, she has just completed her PhD at Rutgers University! That’s right, she’s officially Dr. Browne now (though she’ll still answer to just “Danielle” on deck 😉). We couldn’t be prouder of her incredible achievement and dedication.
A Whale of an Achievement
Danielle’s accomplishment is huge (almost as big as a humpback whale 🐋)! Here’s why we’re so excited:
- 8th season of expertise: For nearly a decade, Danielle has been guiding our tours and sharing her passion for marine life on every trip.
- Newly minted PhD: She just earned her doctorate from Rutgers University, officially making her a whale expert. (You can call her Dr. Browne now – she’s earned it!)
- Leading tours all season: Dr. Browne will be on deck for every tour this season, ready with even more fascinating whale facts, stories, and insights to make your trip unforgettable.
