Jersey Shore Whale Watch
2027 Calendar Photo Contest

Have you taken an amazing photo aboard the Jersey Girl?
Your photograph could appear in our official 2027 Jersey Shore Whale Watch Calendar.

We want to see the Jersey Shore through your eyes.

Supporting Marine Conservation

Net proceeds from the 2027 Jersey Shore Whale Watch Calendar will be shared among three organizations working to protect whales, dolphins and the marine environment:

  • Marine Mammal Stranding Center — Rescues, rehabilitates and responds to stranded whales, dolphins, seals and sea turtles along the New Jersey coast.
  • Gotham Whale — Conducts whale research and citizen science in the New York–New Jersey region, helping document and better understand our growing local whale population.
  • Menhaden Defenders — Works to protect Atlantic menhaden, an essential food source for humpback whales and other marine wildlife along the Jersey Shore.

Your photograph can help celebrate the Jersey Shore while supporting the wildlife that makes these waters so special.

Share Your Best Jersey Shore Whale Watch Photo

Every season, thousands of passengers join us aboard the Jersey Girl and capture incredible moments on the ocean — breaching humpback whales, dolphins, sunsets, seabirds, the New Jersey coastline, families enjoying their trip and those unexpected moments that make whale watching so special.

Now we want to feature some of those photographs in the official
Jersey Shore Whale Watch 2027 Calendar.

The photographs selected for the calendar will come from our passengers, crew and Jersey Shore Whale Watch community.

What Kind of Photos Are We Looking For?

Don’t assume your photograph has to be a perfect close-up of a breaching whale. We are looking for photographs that tell the story of whale watching along the Jersey Shore.

  • Humpback whales
  • Breaching, feeding or tail-slapping whales
  • Dolphins
  • Marine wildlife
  • Seabirds
  • Beautiful ocean scenes
  • Sunsets and sunrises
  • The Jersey Shore coastline
  • The Jersey Girl underway
  • Families and friends enjoying their whale watching experience
  • Special moments aboard the boat

Sometimes the best photograph isn’t the closest whale photograph. It may simply capture what it feels like to spend a day on the ocean.

Who Can Enter?

Anyone who has taken a photograph while traveling with Jersey Shore Whale Watch may submit photographs for consideration.

You do not need to be a professional photographer. Cell phone photographs are welcome too.

A Professionally Produced Calendar
