What an unforgettable day we had out on the water! Today’s whale-watching trip was nothing short of epic. Just off the coast of Long Branch near Pier Village, we encountered not one—but two majestic humpback whales. And they weren’t just swimming or diving—they were double lunge feeding side-by-side, right at the surface! This rare behavior, where the whales surge upward to scoop massive mouthfuls of baitfish, left everyone onboard absolutely amazed. It’s a thrilling, high-energy feeding style that reminds us why these whales are such awe-inspiring ocean giants.
But the action didn’t stop there. As we cruised along the beautiful New Jersey coastline, we were greeted by a lively pod of bottlenose dolphins. They surfed the wake of our boat and gave our guests quite a show—leaping and playing just yards away. These intelligent and playful marine mammals are always a favorite, especially with families and photographers trying to capture that perfect ocean moment.
And as if whales and dolphins weren’t enough, today’s sightings also included a sea turtle and even a shark! That’s right—within a few short hours, we had a real “Jersey Shore safari,” showcasing the incredible marine diversity right off our coast. The summer ocean is truly coming alive, and it feels like every trip brings something new and exciting.
