🐋 Trip Report – Wednesday, April 23 | A Whale of a Day Aboard Jersey Girl!
Today was another amazing adventure on the water! Just 2 miles off the Ocean Avenue Bridge in Belmar, we encountered two humpback whales putting on an incredible show for our 40 passengers aboard the Jersey Girl.
✨ One whale breached and treated us to tail throws and surface activity that had everyone cheering! The action slowed for a bit after a larger fishing vessel passed nearby, causing the whales to dive for about 20 minutes. But our persistence paid off—we relocated them and continued observing as their behavior shifted but remained captivating.
After about 30 minutes with the whales, we cruised south toward Spring Lake and Manasquan in search of dolphins. While we didn’t spot any today, the whale sightings alone were unforgettable.
