On today’s whale watching trip, we went south out of the Belmar Marina down to the Manahawkin area looking for whales. We saw a large pod of dolphins along with a smaller pod there. On the way back, we saw a whale in Spring Lake that was feeding underwater. It came up and took a few looks at us, but it did not lunge at the bridge. Everyone on the trip was thrilled, it was a gorgeous day to be out on the ocean. The temperature was a perfect ~80 degrees, with a nice breeze.
The whale we observed today was about 1.5 miles off the beach in spring lake New Jersey
The next trip is Sunday, but we will also have trips on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th of July, all at 1:30 in the afternoon. Buy your tickets now; the capacity of the boats is limited, so don’t wait!

I will write a better trip report but here are a few photos from todays whale watching trip, We went all the way up to Sandy Hook and then saw a whale off Sea Girt beach! about 2-3 miles off shore
We had a great whale watching trip yesterday, June 14th
We left Belmar marina, cruising along the Shark River going onto the open Atlantic. No sooner had we done this than we were met by over a hundred dolphins cruising along with us.
They definitely were both beautiful and entertaining to watch.
As we sailed along past Asbury Park beaches we encountered our first whale of the day!
Danielle, our naturalist, spotted a 2nd whale about 2 miles out off the beach at Ocean Grove. The whale stayed with us quite a while. It was fantastic
Our next whale siting was in the northern part of Asbury Park. This whale was a lot more active. Danielle realized that this whale was different from one she had seen a week before. As it was breaking out of the water, which it did several times, we saw in the wake of it a beautiful sun fish. Luckily we and others were able to capture a shot of this event.
Upon our return trip I spotted a logger head sea turtle. This is something I had never seen before.
For our first trip of the season it was terrific. In spite of all the regulations required for all of us adhering to the stay safe mandates, it was a great day that I have to thank all of those folks who joined us for their cooperation with the guidelines and still being able to enjoy the beauty and peace of just being free to share this special trip together

I wanted to talk a bit about the boat we go whale watching on>
The boat is 115 feet long has 2 levels and also has separate full size men’s and ladies bathrooms that are always kept extremely clean
We promise that you and your guests will be impressed with the experience on the boat and the cabin is air conditioned!

Our captain has 30 years experience boating and our boat is the fastest clean and biggest boat in Monmouth County, We started the whale watching tours in 2018 and We love it, read our reviews!
Trip report: The weather was perfect; there was a nice, warm, ocean breeze once we were on the water. At first it was chilly, but I was fine with a long sleeved t-shirt. The ocean water was very calm on the way up towards Sandy Hook beach, but on the way back it was a little choppy.

We are happy to report a whale sighting off the coast of Long Brach New Jersey today.
We did not get to see or photograph the whale’s tail, and it took a while to find it, but the sight was beautiful regardless. Join us whale watching soon with the best crew and captain on the Jersey Shore, our next trip is June 14th!
